Why Coyle Group Exists
Coyle Group was founded in 1999 by Gavin Coyle, a chartered safety practitioner. Early in his career, while working as a safety officer at the age of 18, he witnessed a worker fall from height on a construction site. The worker was pronounced dead from his injuries 2 days later.
That event is still the founding condition of the business. We exist to put a chartered safety person in the right position on the right site, with the authority and confidence to manage workplace safety. We do this in 2 ways under one operational roof: HSE temporary recruitment and safety consulting.

He is the author of Workplace Safety on a Budget (Amazon) and hosts the I'm The Gaffer podcast, now past 112 episodes with construction leaders across energy, construction, and utilities.

Place a degree-qualified, industry-specialist safety officer on your site within 48 hours. We carry the talent pool, do the chartered competency check, and route candidates to the right industry on the first call.
Safety Consulting
Run the HSE function with us. Audits, accident investigation, safety policy development, CDM advisory, and PSCS or PSDP appointments. Every engagement is led by a CMIOSH-chartered advisor.

Our brand line dates to the 2011 Brand Book and traces back to the fatal fall Gavin saw at 18. It governs how we treat safety officers in the talent pool, how we grade competency, and how we respond when a site call comes in at the wrong hour.
Chartered Standard
CMIOSH leadership and MBS Level 9 governance, NSAI-certified to ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001. We decline engagements that we cannot deliver to chartered standard. The certification stack is verifiable through NSAI's public register.
