HSE recruitment for wind
Wind Farm Safety Officer Recruitment In 48 Hours
We hold a wind-specialist pool of safety officers selected against GWO Basic Safety Training, working-at-heights, IRATA rope access where the project requires it, and turbine-specific competencies on nacelle, hub and tower work. Every candidate is verified before mobilisation, so you are not chasing certificates on day one.
When a brief lands, we mobilise project-ready safety officers within 48 hours. The timeline commitment is given in writing on the placement confirmation, not as a marketing line. Live deployments include Finland, Northern Ireland, Douglas West and Evishagaran, with cover across Ireland, the UK and the wider EU.
Placements run on three layers: temporary placement for surge cover, a managed service joint partnership where we hold the HSE function alongside your team, and a chartered consulting wrap-around for RAMS and lift plans when the project needs them written to a specific turbine OEM.
Officer profile
- GWO Basic Safety Training verified
- Working-at-heights and IRATA rope access
- Turbine-specific nacelle, hub and tower work
- GWO Sea Survival for offshore deployments
- Certifications checked before mobilisation
Case story: Finland wind farm
A 12.5-Tonne Lift Stopped Before The Load Left The Ground
On a Finnish wind farm commissioning programme, our placed safety officer challenged a telehandler lift on the rated capacity check.
The load was 12.5 tonnes against a machine that was being asked to operate outside its safe working envelope. He stopped the lift, walked the team through the rated capacity calculation, and refused sign-off until a correctly rated lifting solution was on site.
The client took the intervention and issued a company-wide Safety Alert across their European wind portfolio, embedding the lesson into their permit-to-work process for every future commissioning programme.

Wind project questions
Wind Safety Questions Answered
Do you supply both offshore and onshore wind safety officers?
Yes. We place safety officers across onshore wind farm construction and commissioning, and onto offshore wind programmes covering vessel-mounted lift supervision, blade transport, jacket installation and turbine commissioning. Every wind placement is matched to the turbine OEM, the lift profile and the regulatory regime governing the site.
Do your wind safety officers hold GWO and working-at-heights certifications?
Yes. Our wind talent pool is selected against GWO Basic Safety Training (Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, First Aid, Sea Survival for offshore), IRATA rope access where the project calls for it, and turbine-specific competencies on nacelle, hub and tower work. Certifications are verified before mobilisation.
What makes a wind-specialist safety officer different from a generalist?
A wind-specialist safety officer reads a turbine lift plan, challenges an overloaded telehandler before the load leaves the ground, signs off on blade transport rigging, and writes RAMS that hold up at commissioning sign-off. Our Finland telehandler case study is a worked example: our officer stopped an overloaded 12.5-tonne lift and the client issued a company-wide Safety Alert as a result.
Can you mobilise a safety officer to a wind farm anywhere in Northern Europe?
Yes. We mobilise within 48 hours, in writing, across Ireland, the UK and the EU. Live wind deployments include Finland, Northern Ireland, Douglas West and Evishagaran. We hold the visa, travel and competency paperwork that lets a chartered or wind-specialist officer arrive project-ready on day one.
How does the recruitment placement connect to your consulting service?
The two services run under one chartered firm. A placement can sit alone or come bundled with project-specific RAMS authoring, lift plan review, CDM advisory and accident investigation support. Documentation is written to your turbine, your site and your regulatory regime. Nothing is pulled from a generic template library.
